An History of
Simply Flowers, Inc.
Jenny Hardgrave, Founder and President of Simply Flowers, Inc.,
moved to Atlanta from Dickson, Tennessee to begin her career in horticulture. Excelling rapidly
through the ranks of her profession she discovered her niche as a Designer and Production Manager of
Seasonal Color with a local landscape company. However, her entrepreneurial spirit beckoned her.
So, with $10 in her pocket she ventured out to make her dream of owning specialty landscape firm in Atlanta a reality.
Simply Flowers, Inc. began with 12 clients in its first season, a
booming start for this fledgling company in the middle of fall and
winter. Spring of its first year brought even more clients. Most
noteworthy, was the Sugarloaf Country Club seasonal color account. This
proved to be a harbinger of great things for Simply Flowers with the
Country Club's annual hosting of the Bell South Golf Classic. The
company's reputation for the finest flower gardens in the southeast was
firmly established and continues to benefit with this nationally
televised event.
Today, Simply Flowers has grown to over 300 commercial and residential
accounts including Centennial Olympic Park, The Carter Center, The River Club, and
numerous celebrities. Revenues have skyrocketed by over 32% in just the
last year, an explosion of growth built solely by word of mouth. And for
the 6 years since its inception, Simply Flowers, Inc. has garnered
awards for 100% of its entries in the annual MALTA (Metro Atlanta
Landscape and Turf Association) competition.
